Fairfax Community Farmer’s Market
10500 Page Avenue, Fairfax
We went here on a Saturday morning in August and there were a good variety of vegetable vendors and miscellaneous vendors that sold food, knick-knacks, seafood, coffee, etc. Parking is relatively easy and the market is located right next to the Fairfax County Courthouse. Through November 2, 2013, the market is open from 8am – 1pm and Sundays from 10am – 2pm.
This was your typical farmer’s market, and the kids were kept busy by trying the free samples. It’s nice to be able to “try before you buy” and we ended up coming home with quite a bit of food!
If you are looking for a home next a good farmer’s market, Fairfax County is a good location and centrally located between Centreville and Arlington. It’s the first town you get to when you exit off the 495 beltway and head west on Interstate 66. What does that mean? It means, you spend less time in traffic when you’re on Interstate 66! It also means there is a metro stop in Fairfax so that you have the option of leveraging public transportation and avoiding traffic once again!
You can find out more information at the Fairfax Community Farmer’s Market website.
Some Vendors: Aloha Hawaii, American Bistro and Coffeehouse, Bolivian Crafts, Bon Vivant Company, Dimitri Olive Oil, Wild Mountain Honey, Wayne’s Wholesale Nursery, Wildtree Natural Foods, Uptown Bakers, Unce Fred’s BBQ Smoke Shack, Tyson Farms, Stallard Road Farm, Napapan Pottery, Le Printemps, Kuhn Orchards, Grace’s Pastries, and more!
Have fun exploring!
