Ask the real estate professional you are interviewing what kind of formal negotiation training and expertise he has.  Do they receive continuing education and/or subscribe to newsletters that provide advanced negotiation tips and advice?  If they are going to be playing a pivotal role in selling one of your most valuable assets, make sure they have the training and credentials equivalent to a Master Certified Negotiation Expert (MCNE).  Once your MCNE is successfully able to help you execute the contract, the last step is ensuring your agent has the resources to help you close quickly:  Team Execution.
